As many of you may have heard, Tiqa, the baby beluga died last night. Aquarium workers discovered that Tiqa was sick, and had an infection. The same night, the small beluga died, someone broke into the aqarium, and was seen, by one of the workers, standing beside the beluga whales pool. Once he was seen, he ran over the wall and disappeared. They don't know, whether this man had anything to do with the belugas death, or whether it was just a coincidence. Here's my perspective: They shouldn't have brought the belugas from the wild in the first place, unless they were ill. The aquarium born belugas should be kept inside the aquarium, because they are not used to life outside. They are more likely to be killed in the wild because they can't hunt or care for them selves. In the aquarium, they get the proper care they need, and get attached to the workers. Once all the beluga whales that are aquarium born die, no more should be brought in. It was already a mistake bringing one in wild born into an aquarium.
